New Soil Packages – A History Lesson
Today we have changed the packaging of our very popular soil mixes. Before I launch into a history lesson let me explain. For reasons I will explain we can no longer ship products NOT in neat cardboard cartons. Sadly that means an end to our infinitely popular 50l soil sack packages. I have been working on this for months now, how to package soil in a box that will get delivered in one piece, retain the great value the sacks provided and still keep the margin we need to make the whole endeavour worthwhile. I am sure that sounds simple enough but trust me, I have dozens of pages of workings...
Abuse! Abuse!
It's been one of the most difficult weeks I have experienced here at KB. One of those periods of time when I was considering a new career as what we used to call a 'drunk'. HOW has modern life become so terrifying? I have dealt with some serious shit in my life from a bump on the head to the death of my wife but, being in business today is coming close to recreating some of the feelings and concerns of trials past. Still Here.
A few people have asked if we are still here, what with a lack of web site updates and so on. Well the answer is YES. We are still here and in fact busier than we have ever been. So much so that we are looking to employ the services of another pair of hands. So what's...
Meet Benny
Having so many trees (just over 3000 pots at this moment in time) it's tough to keep an eye on everything. I have a working nursery not a display garden and as such, should you visit, you will have to be very diligent in your explorations to really appreciate what we...
Bonsai Show Date & Rant
Once agin this year (Sunday 6th April) we will be attending the BTA event at The Sports Connexion, Leamington Road, Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry, CV8 3FL. This event has run for decades now and was actually the first event Kaizen Bonsai ever attended in an official...
Nothing to do With Bonsai.
Since my post about us being a little behind things have gotten a little worse. In spite of drafting in extra help we are not really making much headway. We are now like a cow's, cow's arse. You might need to cogitate on that last bit for a while 😉 Just to add...
